Editing An Existing Page

STEP 1Go to http://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin. Enter your Username and Password and click “Log In”.
STEP 2On Dashboard page, click Your Website’s Name in the top left corner.
STEP 3Navigate to the page that you want to edit and click “Edit Page” on gray bar at top
STEP 4Edit copy in content area. Make sure your are in “Visual” mode, NOT “HTML” mode.You can use the toolbar above the text area to stylize the content (EX: bold, italic, bullets, etc.)
STEP 5Click “Publish” button when finished. This will publish any changes you made live on the internet.
STEP 6When update complete, click on Your Website’s Namename at top or “View Page” to review
STEP 7Review changes on live site. Click “Edit Page” to re-edit.

Creating New Page

STEP 1Follow Steps 1 and 2 under “Editing Page”
STEP 2At gray bar at top, go to “Add New > Page”. This will bring you to a blank New Page.
STEP 3Edit the following:
A. Add a page title. this will also be the page URL.
B. Add your body copy.
C. Use style bar to edit copy
D. Choose the category that this page will reside under
E. When ready, click “Publish” button
STEP 4When update complete, click on Your Website’s Namename at top or “View Page” to review
STEP 5Review changes on live site. Click “Edit Page” to re-edit.

Adding An Image To A Page

STEP 1Follow steps 1-2 under “Editing Existing Page” or steps 1-3 under “Creating New Page” to start.
STEP 2To add image:

A. Place your cursor in the content area that you want your image to go.

B.
In style bar, click on first icon “add an image”

STEP 3From computer, click “Select Files” to upload new image or can drop an image from your computer in the area marled “Drop Files Here”. Or if you have already upladed a image, click Media Library, and choose an existing image.
STEP 4Choose the alignment of image and size, then click “Insert into post”
STEP 5Once image is added in body content area, you can click to resize or use the alignment buttons to wrap copy.
STEP 6When update complete, click on Your Website’s Name at top or “View Page” to review
STEP 7Review changes on live site. Click “Edit Page” to re-edit.

Add Page to Main Navigation

STEP 1Follow steps 1-2 under “Editing Existing Page” or steps 1-3 under “Creating New Page” to start.
STEP 2In the left column, Under ‘Apperance’, click ‘Menus’
STEP 3Make sure you have your main navigation selected. Usually this is called ‘Main’.
STEP 4In the box titled “Pages’, click the checkbox of the new page you created and click ‘Add to Menu’.
STEP 5It has now added the page to the bottom of your menu on the right. Select the page and drag and drop it anywhere you want the page to show within the navigation.

If you want the page to be a subnavgation page (and only appear on the dropdown upon rollover), make sure the page is indented under the main nav page you want it displayed under.

STEP 6Select ‘Save Menu’ and your site will be updated. Make sure to review your website to make sure the page appears correctly.
